Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and organised Studio Assistant to support the daily operations of our creative studio. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic environment, contributing to the smooth running of studio activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, a welcoming attitude towards guests, and a keen eye for detail. The role involves assisting with administrative tasks, guest services, and maintaining an inviting studio atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist visitors, clients, and guests in a courteous and professional manner
- Manage scheduling of studio sessions, classes, and events to ensure efficient utilisation of space and resources
- Support with administrative duties such as maintaining records, booking appointments, and handling correspondence
- Ensure the studio environment remains clean, organised, and welcoming at all times
- Assist with managing studio supplies and equipment, including ordering stock when necessary, unloading deliveries with some heavy lifting
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing enquiries promptly and courteously
- Support management with event organisation or special projects as required on site and off site
- Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of hospitality and management within the studio and oversee the Junior Staff
- Assisting with taking baby hand and foot prints onto pottery items
- Loading and Unloading kilns
- Creating social media content and marketing projects
Qualifications
- Previous experience in management or hospitality is desirable but not essential; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are most important
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Friendly demeanour with a focus on delivering exceptional guest services
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy environment
- Proficiency in basic administrative tasks and familiarity with scheduling or booking software is advantageous
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail
- An interest in Ceramics is desirable, full kiln training will be provided.
