As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our front-of-house team and help us deliver the very best of Italian hospitality.
Job Summary
As Restaurant Manager, you'll take full ownership of the day-to-day running of the restaurant. You'll lead from the floor, set the standard for service, and make sure every guest leaves wanting to come back. Working closely with the kitchen and ownership, you'll be responsible for the smooth, profitable, and welcoming operation of the venue.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operation of the restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient service
- Lead, motivate, and develop the front-of-house team, including recruitment, training, and rotas
- Work closely with the Director on menu planning, promotions, and the overall direction of the restaurant, helping to shape the offering and drive the business forward.
- Deliver an exceptional guest experience and handle feedback with warmth and professionalism
- Manage stock, ordering, and supplier relationships to control costs and reduce waste
- Take responsibility for cash handling, banking, and end-of-day reconciliation
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety, food hygiene, and licensing standards
- Work with ownership to hit sales targets, manage budgets, and grow the business
Requirements
- Minimum of five years' experience as a Restaurant Manager, ideally in a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
- A genuine passion for great food, drink, and hospitality; Italian experience is a plus
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and get the best from a team
- Excellent organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- A hands-on, calm under pressure approach and a real eye for detail
- Good commercial awareness and an understanding of margins, costs, and targets
- Personal Licence holder preferred (or willingness to obtain one)
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as the business requires
Pay information
The base salary is £34,000 per year with tips paid separately
