Children's Residential Night Wake Support Worker

We are looking for an experienced Children's Residential Night Wake Support Worker who truly understands the complexities of working with children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
About the Role
We are a brand new organisation focused on providing holistic support to children and young people who have experienced significant challenges.
As part of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and security of our young people throughout the night. You will provide reassurance, maintain a calm and structured environment, and respond appropriately to any situations that arise, helping young people feel safe and supported while they sleep.
This is a rewarding role where you will work independently during the night while remaining part of a dedicated and supportive team. Above all, you will be the reliable, caring role model that our young people can depend on.
Shift Pattern:
- Night Wake: 9:30pm – 7:30am (or as required)
What You Will Be Doing
- Providing overnight supervision to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all young people.
- Completing regular welfare checks throughout the night in line with care plans and safeguarding procedures.
- Supporting young people who may wake during the night due to anxiety, distress, or other needs.
- Responding calmly and effectively to incidents or emergencies.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and secure home environment.
- Completing accurate nightly records, logs, and handovers for the day team.
- Carrying out light household duties to ensure the home is ready for the following day.
- Working in line with safeguarding policies, Ofsted regulations, and Keystone's values.
- Promoting consistency, stability, and emotional security for every young person.

The home has been recently refurbished to a high standard, providing a calm, comfortable, and welcoming environment for both young people and staff.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is not only experienced but genuinely committed to making a difference.
You will have:
- NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Children's Residential Care (essential)
- At least 12 months' experience working within a children's residential setting
- A full UK driving licence
- A calm, resilient approach and strong emotional intelligence
- The ability to work independently while remaining proactive and vigilant throughout the night
- A genuine passion for child-centred care
