As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for the safe and precise assembly and testing of advanced wireline equipment, including winches and masts, supporting critical operations in the energy sector. You will play a key role in ensuring high-quality production standards, continuous improvement, and safe working practices within a collaborative workshop environment.

- Assemble and test mechanical and hydraulic equipment in line with engineering drawings and specifications
- Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, schematics, and bills of materials
- Maintain cleanliness and integrity of hydraulic systems during assembly
- Inspect materials and components to detect defects or faults
- Ensure all work meets required quality standards (“right first time”)
Follow all HSE procedures and proactively stop unsafe work where necessary
Additional Responsibilities
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives (LEAN / 5S)
- Support and collaborate with team members to improve overall performance
- Participate in daily team briefings and highlight potential risks or issues
- Report technical or design issues through engineering systems
Support new product introduction and process improvements
- Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent in a mechanical discipline
- Proven experience in a mechanical or assembly-based environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions
- Proven ability to safely operate hand and power tools
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Proven experience within a manufacturing or assembly environment
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems and associated best practices
- Forklift and/or overhead crane certification
Higher education in a relevant field
- Team-oriented with a proactive and collaborative mindset
- Strong safety awareness and accountability
- Problem-solving approach with a continuous improvement mindset
