Part Time Receptionist

From our quirky Shepherd’s Huts to our luxurious spa and gatehouse accommodation, we offer something truly special — and we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Part Time Receptionist to join our friendly team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves hospitality, enjoys working with people, and thrives in a fast-paced but rewarding environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our guests receive the warm welcome and exceptional service that Samlesbury Hall is known for.
We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, excellent organisational skills, and a genuine passion for delivering memorable guest experiences.
The Role
As part time receptionist, you will be running a busy reception;
- Answering phone enquiries and emails
- Take all enquiries for events
- Ticket bookings
- Forwarding relevant enquiries to relevant departments
- Processing small shop stock
- Management of till systems
- Stock control
- Assisting in all departments when necessary
- Volunteer recruitment and management
Skills and Responsibilities:
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent time management and organisation skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Computer literate
- Must be proficient with operating different software systems
The applicant must be a good team member and be prepared to be hands on and oversee the day-to-day running of our accommodation operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly across reception, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services.
You’ll be hands-on person who enjoys working closely with people and creating a welcoming atmosphere for both guests and staff alike.

Working Hours
Working Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 11.30am - 5pm, 16.5 hrs per week, and must also be able to cover holidays and illness.
