Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, including training, mentoring, and managing team members
- Oversee food production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and consistency
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Develop new menu items and contribute to menu planning based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Monitor kitchen operations during service hours to ensure smooth workflow
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned regularly
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
- Supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Extensive knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
- Creativity in menu development and presentation techniques
- Experience in food production, hospitality, or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Ability to serve customers professionally when required
