Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistants/Support Workers to join our agency team. This role offers flexible working arrangements across care homes and home care settings, providing vital support to individuals in need of assistance. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to adapt to various environments. Previous experience in care settings is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. All positions are paid, ensuring fair remuneration for your valuable work.
Duties
- Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, mobility, and medication management
- Supporting individuals in maintaining their independence within care homes or their own homes
- Implementing personalised care plans tailored to each client’s needs
- Monitoring and recording health status and progress of clients accurately
- Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
- Assisting with domestic tasks including meal preparation, light cleaning, and laundry as required
- Driving between different care settings or clients’ homes when necessary (where applicable)
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships with clients
- Good organisational skills to follow care plans accurately
- IT literacy for documenting client information and updating records efficiently
- Driving licence (desirable) for supporting mobility needs or travelling between locations
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care is beneficial but not mandatory
- Ability to adapt quickly to different environments and client needs
