General Maintenance / Handyman
Location: Wessington – Ashover – Bakewell – Multiple Sites
Hours: 20–30 hours per week
Salary: £13–£14 per hour

Company Vehicle: Provided on working days, subject to a clean driving licence
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, experienced and genuinely hands-on General Maintenance / Handyman to join our team.
We operate several businesses across Wessington, Ashover and Bakewell, including a hotel, fish and chip shop, car business and storage business, as well as carrying out grass cutting and garden maintenance.
This is a varied, practical role working across several different sites, so we need someone who is confident turning their hand to a wide range of maintenance and repair jobs.
Previous experience in general maintenance or as a handyman is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- General maintenance and repairs across multiple sites
- Basic plumbing, carpentry and building repairs
- Painting and decorating
- Repairing doors, locks, fixtures, fittings and furniture
- General property upkeep and preventative maintenance
- Identifying and resolving maintenance issues
- Grass cutting and general garden maintenance
- Keeping outdoor areas, buildings and work areas clean and tidy
- Moving, assembling and installing equipment and fittings
- Carrying out general repairs and practical jobs as required
- Working safely and responsibly across different business premises
- Using initiative to identify jobs that need attention
- Working independently and managing tasks across multiple locations
About You

- Experienced in general maintenance / handyman work

- Flexible and happy to tackle a variety of different jobs
- Proud of their work and pays attention to detail
- Comfortable working across different sites
- Friendly and professional when dealing with staff, customers and members of the public
Essential Requirement
A clean, full UK driving licence is essential.
As the role involves working across several different sites, you must be able to drive and travel between locations.
Hours & Vehicle
- 20–30 hours per week
- Working days/hours can be discussed with the successful candidate
- Company vehicle provided on working days, subject to holding a clean driving licence
- Work will take place across our various sites in Wessington, Ashover and Bakewell
