Duties
- Assist with irrigation systems setup and maintenance to ensure optimal water distribution across fields
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic machinery for planting, harvesting, and general farm upkeep
- Perform heavy lifting tasks such as moving supplies, equipment, or harvested crops safely and efficiently
- Care for farm animals by feeding, cleaning enclosures, and monitoring health conditions
- Conduct routine equipment repairs and maintenance to keep machinery in top working order
- Support horticultural activities including planting, pruning, weeding, and crop management
- Maintain detailed records of daily tasks, animal health reports, and equipment use for operational consistency
Qualifications
- Prior experience with irrigation systems or mechanical knowledge is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance equipment safely and effectively
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting and outdoor labor in various weather conditions
- Basic math skills for measuring quantities, calculating areas, or managing inventory
- Knowledge of animal care practices or horticulture is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Good problem-solving skills with an eye for equipment repair and routine maintenance tasks
