Duties
- Take orders from customers accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service
- Serve food and beverages with professionalism and courtesy
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the service area, including tables and counters
- Handle cash transactions and operate the point-of-sale system with basic maths skills
- Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Assist in setting up and clearing tables, ensuring a smooth flow of service during busy periods
- Provide friendly assistance to guests, answering questions about menu items and specials
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service and maintain a positive environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service is advantageous but not mandatory
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and standards
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
- Good organisational skills and ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts
- Basic maths proficiency for handling payments and bills accurately
- Ability to work well under pressure in a dynamic environment
