The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Agent / Site Manager to join a well-established civil engineering business delivering projects across the Scottish Highlands.
This is a key site-based role where you’ll take responsibility for the safe, efficient and successful delivery of civil engineering projects, managing day-to-day operations and ensuring works are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
We’re looking for someone with strong leadership skills who can confidently manage site teams, subcontractors and resources while maintaining excellent standards of health, safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day site operations and construction activities.
- Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors effectively.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Liaise effectively with clients, engineers, suppliers and other key stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve site issues to keep projects progressing smoothly.
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and project requirements.
- Maintain accurate site records, reports and project documentation.
- Lead, support and motivate site teams to achieve project objectives.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Site Agent, Site Manager or similar within civil engineering.
- Strong leadership, organisational and site management skills.
- Good knowledge of construction methods and health & safety requirements.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy site environment.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Qualifications
- SMSTS
- CSCS Card
- Relevant construction or engineering qualification would be advantageous.
