Responsibilities
- Safely operate waste collection trucks, including flatbed models when applicable, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Collect waste materials from residential, commercial, or industrial sites according to scheduled routes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with company standards
- Manage waste containers efficiently, ensuring proper loading and securement during transport
- Maintain accurate records of pickups, route logs, and delivery documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates or issues encountered during collection
- Assist with minor truck maintenance or reporting of mechanical concerns to ensure optimal vehicle performance
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience proffered but not necessary
- Proven delivery driver experience with a focus on safety and punctuality
- Knowledge of driving regulations and safety protocols for waste collection operations
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy containers and maneuvering equipment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, or extended hours if needed

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
