Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of high-quality care by carrying out daily cleaning duties in residents' rooms in a respectful, sensitive, and dignified manner.
- Undertake cleaning duties throughout all communal areas of the home, including lounges, dining areas, corridors, toilets, and bathrooms, ensuring high standards of cleanliness are maintained.
- Prepare vacant bedrooms for viewings and new admissions, ensuring they are clean, welcoming, and ready for occupancy.
- Care for plants and flowers around the home and help maintain a pleasant environment for residents, visitors, and inspectors.
- Manage linen deliveries and stock, ensuring clean linen is available and stored appropriately at all times.
- Monitor and order cleaning supplies and COSHH-approved products, maintaining adequate stock levels and ensuring safe storage and usage in accordance with company policies.
- Keep housekeeping stores, cleaning equipment, and stock areas organised and well maintained.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, infection control guidelines, and COSHH regulations.
- Complete all mandatory training required for the role and maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across all departments to provide a happy, clean, dignified, and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
- Ensure the home remains presentable at all times and is prepared for visits from relatives, professionals, and regulatory inspectors.
