Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Yard Operative/Forklift Operator to join our team. This person will be responsible for various tasks related to the organization and maintenance of the yard area. As a yard operative you provide support to the Yard Foreman with day to day requirements
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely to move materials within the yard
- Safe loading and unloading of vehicles
- Serving Customers to our highest standards
- Good housekeeping
- Painting of equipment
- Performing stock counting monthly and 6 monthly
- Handle materials safely and efficiently
- Adhering to Health and safety regulations
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a warehouse or yard setting is preferred
- Proficiency in using forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Must have a Forklift Licence
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations for inventory purposes
- Capable of lifting heavy objects
