Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Bar/Waiting Staff to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role involves delivering exceptional guest service in a lively restaurant or bar environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. Previous experience in restaurant settings is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and ensure they are seated comfortably
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the point-of-sale system
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Engage with guests to enhance their experience through friendly and attentive service
- Handle cash, card transactions, and process payments efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the service area, including tables, bar, and surrounding spaces
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service operations
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while respecting guest preferences
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards diligently at all times
- Assist with basic food preparation or bar tending duties when required
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is desirable
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Good understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene practices
- Ability to multitask efficiently during busy periods with strong time management skills
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food preparation or culinary experience is a plus but not essential
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing priorities
- Upselling techniques to enhance guest satisfaction and maximise sales potential
- Kitchen experience or prior serving experience will be considered advantageous
