Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Self Employed Plasterer to join our dynamic team. This role offers the flexibility of self-employment while delivering high-quality plastering services across various residential and commercial projects. As a key contributor, you will be responsible for transforming interiors with expert plastering techniques, ensuring smooth finishes and durable surfaces. Your expertise will help clients achieve their desired aesthetic and functional outcomes, making every space look polished and professional.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion for plastering work
- Mix and apply plaster, stucco, or other wall finishes with precision using hand tools and power tools
- Install or repair drywall, lath, or other wall structures as needed to support plastering applications
- Collaborate with clients and project managers to understand project specifications and deliver results on time
- Follow safety protocols diligently when handling materials, tools, and working at heights or in confined spaces
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste responsibly
- Fabricate custom components or repairs using welding, masonry, carpentry, or fabrication skills when required
Experience
- Proven experience in plastering with a strong portfolio of completed projects demonstrating quality craftsmanship
- Knowledge of roofing, plumbing, electrical systems, masonry, and construction painting is highly advantageous
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, schematics reading, and construction fabrication techniques
- Familiarity with construction site safety standards and ability to work independently as a self-employed professional
- Additional experience in welding, carpentry, masonry, or roofing enhances versatility on varied projects
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics to ensure precise execution of work plans
- Strong understanding of construction processes and the ability to adapt to different project requirements
