Salary: £9,100 per annum (£14 per hour)
Hours: Monday – Friday 0600hrs – 0830hrs (12.5 hours)
Contract: Permanent

Job Summary
The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic and presentable working environment across the site, with particular focus on welfare facilities, offices and communal areas. The role supports the business in providing suitable workplace and welfare facilities for employees and visitors.
Job Role
· Clean welfare areas, including toilets, washrooms, kitchens and break areas.
· Clean offices, communal areas and other designated areas of the site.
· Empty bins and dispose of waste in the appropriate waste streams.
· Replenish consumables such as soap, toilet rolls and paper towels.
· Report cleaning, hygiene, facilities or maintenance issues to the SHEQ+FM Manager.
· Maintain the stock count and pass the information to the SHEQ+FM.
Responsibilities
· Carry out cleaning tasks to the required standard and agreed cleaning schedule.
· Use cleaning products and equipment safely and in accordance with instructions and relevant risk assessments/COSHH information.
· Maintain cleaning equipment in a clean and serviceable condition.
· Identify and report damaged facilities, shortages of consumables, spillages or other issues requiring attention.
· Work safely around employees, visitors and manufacturing activities.

· Able to follow cleaning schedules, instructions and safety requirements.
· Willingness to undertake routine cleaning tasks and adapt to site requirements.
· Able to identify when additional tasks may be necessary and initiate those tasks independently.

Preferable Skills and Attributes
· Previous commercial or industrial cleaning experience.
· Experience working in a manufacturing or similar workplace environment.
Physical Requirements
The role is active and requires standing, walking, bending and manual handling associated with normal cleaning duties.
Safety Requirements
As with all roles in the business, the person who holds this role must take reasonable care of themselves and others who may be affected by their work. The Cleaner must follow relevant site safety arrangements, risk assessments, COSHH information and instructions relating to cleaning products, equipment and workplace hazards.
