Duties
- Assist in preparing baked goods, including mixing, portioning, and decorating products to meet quality standards
- Support the food production process by following recipes and ensuring consistency in taste and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace, including equipment and storage areas
- Ensure food safety protocols are followed at all times, including proper handling and storage of ingredients
- Restock display cases and shelves with freshly baked items to keep the bakery inviting and well-supplied
- Support the team during busy periods by helping with customer service and checkout procedures
- Follow all health regulations and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers
Skills
- Experience in food production, food preparation, or baking is highly desirable
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, including cooking techniques and equipment use
- Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in a bakery or restaurant setting
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for quality presentation of baked goods
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills to assist customers courteously and effectively
