We are currently looking for Senior Care Assistants / Residential Support Workers to join our growing agency team in Wakefield.
About the Role
As a Residential Support Worker working through Lilac Alliance, you will support individuals in residential and care settings, delivering high-quality, person-centred care and helping people live fulfilling and meaningful lives.
Your responsibilities may include:
Providing personalised care and support tailored to each individual's needs.
Assisting with personal care while promoting dignity, respect, choice, and independence.
Building positive and trusting relationships with the people you support.
Encouraging confidence, independence, and everyday life skills.
Organising and participating in meaningful activities, outings, and therapeutic experiences.
Supporting individuals with behaviours that may challenge using positive and proactive approaches.
Maintaining accurate care records and documentation.
Communicating effectively with colleagues, families, and other professionals.
Working as part of a dedicated team to ensure safe, consistent, and high-quality care.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
A minimum of 6 months' experience in a care or support role.
A caring, compassionate, patient, and professional approach.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable children and adults.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable but not essential.

Important Information
Lilac Alliance is a care and support staffing agency. Successful applicants may be offered shifts at residential care homes, supported living services, and other care settings across Wakefield and surrounding areas, depending on service requirements and availability.
This role may involve working across different care settings rather than being permanently based at one location.
Lilac Alliance does not offer Skilled Worker visa sponsorship for this role. Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the UK. Applications requiring visa sponsorship will not be considered.
