K2 Security are holding a SIA and Stewards Recruitment Open Day for Football and Events 25/26 season at Stoke City Football Club
As one of the Midlands’ leading security and stewarding providers, is currently recruiting Matchday Stewards and SIA Licensed Security Officers to support our contract at Stoke City Football Club, based at The Bet365 Stadium (capacity 30,089)
These roles are ideal for individuals who live in Stoke or the immediate surrounding area and are seeking flexible, event-based work in a high-profile sporting environment
Roles Available
- Matchday Stewards (Non-SIA)
- Matchday Stewards (SIA Licensed)
Key Responsibilities
- Providing a welcoming, professional presence to supporters and visitors
- Delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining safety and order
- Managing crowd movement and access control
- Responding calmly and confidently to incidents when required
- Working closely with supervisors, safety teams, and club staff
The Ideal Candidate
- Lives in Derby or very close to The Bet365 Stadium (ST4 4EG)
- Demonstrates excellent customer service and communication skills
- Is polite, approachable, and professional at all times
- Can be firm, calm, and authoritative when situations require it
- Is reliable, punctual, and well-presented
- Available to work evenings and weekends on matchdays
Essential / Desirable Criteria
- SIA Licence (required for SIA roles only)
- Previous stewarding, security, or customer-facing experience (desirable but not essential)
- Ability to travel independently to Pride Park Stadium for matchday reporting times

Important Location Note
Due to reporting times and the operational demands of matchday football, these roles are best suited to applicants who live in Stoke or the immediate surrounding area. Applicants should be able to attend The Bet365 Stadium reliably without excessive travel.

Time slots:
09:30 – 10:30
10:30 – 11:30
12:00 – 13:00
13:00 – 14:00
14:00 – 15:00
15:00 – 15:30
Role:
- Provide excellent customer service and assist spectators’ queries
- Monitor crowds and ensure public safety throughout the venue
- Conduct ticket and bag checks at entry points
- Guide visitors to their seats and direct them around the stadium
- Respond to incidents quickly and professionally, escalating where necessary
- Always uphold stadium rules and regulations
- Attend pre-event briefing, and ensure all information is understood
- Ensure all exits and evacuation routes are kept clear
- To recognise any potential hazards/suspect packages, report any findings immediately to stand supervisor
- To remain at deployed areas unless instructed to leave by authorised persons such as a Supervisor, Head Steward or Safety Officer
- To remain calm under pressure

- This a Casual Worker role
