Job Summary
The SEND - Area Inclusion Co-ordinator plays a vital role in supporting the inclusion and integration of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within the local educational environment. This position involves working closely with teaching staff, students, and families to develop personalised strategies that promote equal opportunities for all learners. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of SEND provisions and demonstrate a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning community. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement personalised learning plans for children with SEND.
- Monitor and review the progress of children with SEND, adjusting support strategies as necessary to ensure positive outcomes.
- Organise and facilitate training sessions for staff on inclusive practices and SEND awareness.
- Support classroom teachers in adapting lesson plans and resources to meet individual needs effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, interventions, and support plans in compliance with organisational policies.
- Promote an inclusive school culture by organising awareness activities and fostering positive attitudes towards diversity among pupils.
- Liaise with external specialists, such as speech therapists or occupational therapists, to coordinate additional support where required.
- Assist in organising transition arrangements for students moving between key stages or schools to ensure continuity of support.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching or working within an educational setting, particularly with students who have SEND.
- Strong understanding of inclusive education practices, legal frameworks, and SEN code of practice.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Effective communication skills to engage with pupils, parents, staff, and external agencies confidently.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to promoting equality within the school environment.
- Relevant qualifications in education or special educational needs are desirable but not essential; a passion for supporting diverse learners is fundamental.
Pay: £26,500.00-£30,000.00 per year
