The Role
Victor Manufacturing are seeking a reliable, organised and productive individual to join our contracts department team in the role of Junior Estimator. The successful candidate will take responsibility for producing and managing all aspects relating to contracts estimates and resulting orders. Duties include but are not limited to:
· Logging and updating incoming enquiries and outgoing quotations.
· Producing accurate contracts estimates, costings and written quotations.
· Developing a solid understanding of Victor Manufacturing products, materials, production capabilities and manufacturing processes.
· Engaging with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed in a timely & professional manner.
· Answering incoming calls in a professional and timely manner.
· SOP of resulting contracts orders.
· Producing requisitions to Purchasing team for BOP.
· Developing and improving contract estimating processes and procedures.
· Sourcing and managing new and existing supply chain partnerships.
· Seeking continuous individual and departmental improvements
· Prioritise workload and work concurrently and accurately on multiple projects.
The candidate
The successful candidate must be punctual, have good attention to detail, be highly motivated and be able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a larger team.
A good level of numerical skills, strong written and oral communication skills and good IT skills are essential in this role. The successful candidate must also be flexible and adaptable in order to ensure that customers’ requirements are met.
Previous estimating experience – Desirable
Previous manufacturing experience - Desirable.
Hours of work
8:00am – 4:00pm (Monday to Thursday)
7:30am – 3:00pm (Friday)
