Pay Rate: PAYE £17.37 per hour
About the Role
We're recruiting an Early Help Worker to join Children's Social Care team. This is a temporary role covering secondment, ideal for someone experienced in family support, safeguarding, and multi-agency partnership working.
You'll engage and empower children, young people, and families through strengths-based interventions, providing the right help at the right time to build resilience and positive outcomes.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing and progressing a caseload using a solution-focused approach
- Conducting Early Help Assessments to identify risk, vulnerability, and safeguarding needs
- Delivering targeted interventions on a 1-1 or group basis
- Co-producing protective and supportive plans with families and reviewing progress
- Maintaining accurate case notes, assessments, and exit strategies
- Undertaking home visits to assess family needs and provide support
- Coordinating multi-agency support plans with schools, health visitors, housing, and voluntary partners
- Supporting Family Hub operations, including welcoming families, signposting services, and managing online/social media engagement
- Promoting parental engagement to strengthen family relationships and support children's education
- Delivering training courses and consultation events to support families and communities
- Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, data protection, and confidentiality policies
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone compassionate, proactive, and confident in family and community support work.
You'll ideally have:
- Experience working with children, young people, and families
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage caseloads and deliver targeted interventions
- Knowledge of safeguarding, early help, and multi-agency working
- Flexibility to work across locality delivery points and occasional evenings/weekends
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS clearance
