Community Healthcare Assistant– Part time - Monday- Wednesday 8.30am - 16.30pm (22.50 hours per week)

We are seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join our Complex Care Team based at Wendover Health Centre. This rewarding role involves providing high-quality care and support to our registered housebound patients within the community, helping them maintain their health, wellbeing, and independence.
This opportunity would particularly suit an existing Healthcare Assistant who is looking to develop their skills and pursue a rewarding career in community-based healthcare. Previous community experience is not essential; however, we are looking for someone with a genuine interest in working within the community and supporting patients in their own homes.
This is a fully supported position, offering comprehensive training, mentoring, and ongoing development opportunities. You will work closely with our Lead Nurse, Paramedics, and wider multidisciplinary team, gaining valuable experience while making a meaningful difference to the lives of patients and their families.

Example duties will include
- Conducting home visits to monitor and support housebound patient
- Recording vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Taking blood samples and INRs testing
- Administering vaccinations under supervision
- Basic wound care and diabetic checks
- Liaising with community providers and other healthcare professionals involved in a patient's care
- Maintaining accurate records and confidentiality at all times
What we're looking for:
- Experience within a healthcare in a community setting
- Phlebotomy trained
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to work independently, using own initiative
- Comfortable working under pressure and remaining calm
- Flexible and adaptable to the needs of patients and the team
- A caring, compassionate approach to patient care
