Maintenance Co-ordinator
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours of work: 38 hours per week
Monday to Thursday 8.00am - 4.30pm / Friday 8.00am - 3.45pm

About the Role
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Coordinator seeking a challenging yet rewarding role to join our Maintenance Department at our depot in Preston.
Here’s What You Can Expect to be Doing
In this varied role, you will be responsible for coordinating and supporting maintenance activities across the manufacturing and wholesale portfolios to ensure equipment, utilities, and building systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. The role works closely with maintenance engineers, production teams, contractors, and suppliers to minimise downtime and maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
- Schedule maintenance work orders and track completion.
- Monitor maintenance performance, equipment downtime, and maintenance costs.
- Coordinate external contractors and service providers, ensuring work is completed safely and according to company standards.
- Maintain records of inspections, maintenance activities, permits, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Support inventory management of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and consumables.
- Collaborate with departmental management, production, engineering, quality teams to prioritise maintenance activities.
- Assist in developing and updating maintenance procedures, schedules, and documentation.
- Prepare maintenance reports, KPIs, and budget tracking information for management review.
A Few Things About You
- Conversant with FMCG/Building Services Sector.
- Ability to multitask with strong organisational and communication skills both written and verbal.
- Flexible and open-minded approach, with the ability to work independently, also as part of a team.
- Show honesty, punctuality and commitment.
- Possess excellent IT skills to function Microsoft Office 365 inc Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Understand the requirements covered within GDPR.
- Be conversant with technical requirements demanded of the role.
- CMMS experience advantageous.
- Relevant qualifications advantageous.
