Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Practitioner Level 3 to join our expanding Flying Start team working 9am till 12pm Monday to Friday. This is a term time only position.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and early childhood education to children within our nursery setting. This position offers an opportunity to be a part of a new Nursery setting and be instrumental in in it's development.
Applicants should be able to work in a fast paced environment, use initiative, work with children to support their learning and development needs and be committed to maintaining children's safety at all times.
Responsibilities
To
· Actively contribute to the nursery team
· Actively contribute to the planning of childcare sessions
· Undertake the personal needs of key children
· Comply with all the nurseries policies and procedures
· Maintain updated knowledge of National Minimum Standards and Regulations
· Support management in the completion of any relevant paperwork including registers, accident book, medication forms etc
· Take responsibility for the Health & safety of yourself and others around you
· Support the setting to achieve quality schemes such as Healthy Early Years, Care Quality Standards etc
· Support the creation of a culture of reflective practice in the Nursery to ensure continual improvement
· Support equality and opportunity for parents and children attending the nursery
· Maintain personal professional development to meet the changing need of the post
· Completion of paperwork to support effective monitoring and evaluation systems
· Attend regular staff meetings
· You must uphold the public trust and confidence and behave in a way in work or outside of work which would not call into question your suitability to work in the nursery
· Understand and demonstrate the principles of confidentiality
· Understand the responsibilities of recognising the duty to protect children
· Understands and demonstrates commitment to the nurseries Equal Opportunities Policy
· The duties and responsibilities are difficult to define in detail and may vary from time to time without changing the general character of the duties and level of responsibilities entailed
· The postholder is therefore expected to undertake such other duties as may be requested provided the general character of the duties and level of responsibilities does not change the highest standards of care.

Experience
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while demonstrating initiative.
- Hold a full driving licence and be willing to use own car for providing wraparound to local schools.
- This role is suitable for individuals committed to delivering exceptional childcare services while fostering a positive learning environment for young children. Applicants should possess relevant qualifications at Level 3 in Childcare or Early Childhood Education.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
