Job Overview
We are looking for a versatile, energetic, and customer-focused Weekend Assistant to join our team at Beccles Home & Flooring. This is a varied and hands-on role where no two days are the same. You will work across our flooring and furniture showroom as well as our warehouse, combining excellent customer service with practical, physical work . If you are confident with customers, enjoy working as part of a team, and do not mind getting stuck in, we would love to hear from you.
What You Will Do
- Greet customers warmly as they enter the store, making them feel welcome.
- Advise customers across our flooring, furniture, and fashion ranges.
- Process sales and handle payments accurately using our bespoke POS system.
- Unload deliveries safely and organise incoming stock within the warehouse.
- Lift heavy items including carpet rolls, flooring packs, and furniture.
- Create displays to keep the home showroom looking attractive and inspiring.
- Prepare orders carefully for customer collection or delivery.
- Maintain standards by keeping showroom and warehouse areas clean.
- Support the team wherever needed to ensure a smooth operation.
What We Are Looking For
- Full weekend availability to work both Saturdays (9am–5pm) and Sundays (10am–4pm).
- Welcoming personality to greet guests and build instant rapport.
- Physically fit individuals able to carry out manual handling safely.
- Adaptable workers who can switch smoothly between customer service and warehouse.
- Confident communicators who have excellent, friendly people skills.
- Computer literate and confident using everyday systems, including email, Google Drive, Windows, and bespoke stock and ordering management software.
- Reliable team players with a positive, punctual work ethic.
- Experienced candidates in retail or warehouses are preferred but not essential.
