- Ensuring that all parts of the Home are cleaned and that deep cleaning is done in rotation along with steam cleaning and carpet cleaning.
- Ensuring that resident’s rooms are cleaned daily and beds made.
- Liaising with nursing staff regarding resident needs.
- Maintaining a flexible approach and being able to adapt to changing needs including cleaning and preparing rooms for emergency admissions.
- Feeding back information to nursing staff regarding residents, unusual observations or untoward incidents.
- Maintaining good professional relationships with colleagues, clients and their relatives to ensure a high level of morale and good working atmosphere.
-Identifying personal learning needs under the guidance of the Home Manager.
- Keeping up to date by attending relevant courses and lectures and reading relevant journals etc.
- Supervising of staff to ensure good working practices.
- Ensuring any protective equipment provided by the Home is used by all housekeeping and laundry staff at all times.
To observe COSHH and other Health and Safety regulations and to ensure all Domestic staff are fully trained.
