Duties
- Oversee daily transportation operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery across all channels
- Manage and supervise transportation staff, including drivers and logistics coordinators, fostering a motivated and compliant team
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and ERP systems to monitor shipments, inventory, and route planning
- Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to optimize freight solutions and service levels
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in shipping & receiving, warehouse operations, and overall supply chain workflows
- Maintain profit & loss accountability by analyzing costs, identifying savings opportunities, and managing budgets effectively
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including forklift operation standards and warehouse safety protocols
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in transportation or logistics environments with a track record of leading successful teams
- Strong knowledge of logistics operations, supply chain management, and warehouse processes
- Hands-on experience with transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and ERP platforms such as AS400 or similar software
- Familiarity with 3PL partnerships, shipping & receiving procedures, and freight optimization strategies
- Demonstrated ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives that streamline processes and reduce costs
- Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment is preferred
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret profit & loss statements and identify operational efficiencies

Pay: £38,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
