Multi-Trade Improver / Carpenter Company: Atlas Construction Projects Ltd Location: Various sites across West Sussex Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time Start: ASAP Website: www.atlasconstruct.co.uk Atlas Construction Projects is looking for a reliable and capable Multi-Trade Improver / Carpenter to join our growing team. We carry out a varied range of work across West Sussex, including new-build house developments, residential renovations and commercial/industrial projects. The role would suit someone who already has good construction experience and is comfortable working independently. You will often be working on site with a labourer or apprentice, so you need to be able to organise your own work, understand what needs to be done and get on with the job without constant supervision. The majority of the work is carpentry-based, so good carpentry skills are important, but we are particularly interested in someone with broader multi-trade experience who is happy to turn their hand to different aspects of a project. The Role - First and second fix carpentry - General multi-trade building work - Working on new-build houses and developments - Residential renovations and extensions - Commercial and industrial projects - Working independently and managing your own workload - Working alongside and directing a labourer or apprentice when required - Reading drawings and working from specifications - Maintaining a good standard of workmanship and keeping sites organised What We're Looking For You don't necessarily need to be a fully qualified tradesperson, but you should have good practical experience and be capable of completing work independently to a high standard. Ideally, you will have: - Good carpentry skills and general construction experience - Multi-trade ability - Your own tools - Your own van is strongly preferred - As a minimum, your own reliable vehicle and ability to travel between sites - A full UK driving licence - Good problem-solving skills - Ability to work without constant supervision - Good timekeeping and reliability - A positive attitude and willingness to take responsibility for your work This is a permanent, full-time position with varied work and the opportunity to develop further within Atlas Construction Projects.
