Overview
We are seeking a self employed, reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Cleaner. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards at the Sheffield Scout Resources Charity premises. The ideal candidate will have experience in janitorial services and a strong work ethic, ensuring environments are safe, tidy, and welcoming. This position offers flexible hours suitable for those seeking part-time employment with the opportunity to contribute to a professional setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of designated areas
- Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces to high standards
- Empty bins and dispose of waste responsibly
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, notifying management of any shortages or maintenance needs
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning duties
- Adhere to company policies regarding confidentiality and security
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is preferred
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good organisational skills to prioritise tasks effectively
- Reliable with a professional attitude and excellent time management skills
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures is advantageous
This role is ideal for individuals seeking part-time employment in a supportive environment where attention to detail and reliability are valued.
The hours will be split between Mondays 8.30am to 10.30am, Wednesday 3pm to 6pm and Friday 8.30am to 10.30am.
Pay: £13.50 per hour
