Adult Housing Liaison Officer
We are seeking a proactive and solutions-focused Adult Housing Liaison Officer to join our team, supporting the delivery of high-quality housing services in line with Base One’s commitment to professionalism, integrity, and customer care.
In this role, you will act as a key point of contact between adult residents, housing providers, and internal teams—ensuring housing solutions are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and with a strong focus on resident wellbeing. You will play a vital role in maintaining positive tenancy outcomes, supporting vulnerable individuals, and upholding excellent service standards across our housing operations.
Working across the Brighton & Hove, Worthing, Adur and Arun areas, you will become the vital link between residents, landlords, local authorities, support services and our internal teams, ensuring every resident receives a professional, responsive and person-centred service. Regular travel between our properties and partner agencies is an essential part of the role.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison for adult residents requiring housing support, ensuring a responsive and professional service experience
- Work collaboratively with landlords, property managers, and partner agencies to facilitate tenancy agreements and resolve issues in line with current legislation
- Assess resident needs and risks, providing appropriate support pathways including referrals to specialist services where required
- Promote understanding of housing policies, including Fair Housing regulations and supported housing schemes, ensuring residents are informed and empowered
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and compliant records using property management systems such as Arthur, ensuring operational transparency, data integrity, and effective reporting.
- Apply structured engagement approaches, including motivational techniques, to support sustainable tenancies and positive resident outcomes
- Respond effectively to challenging situations, managing conflict professionally and coordinating appropriate interventions when necessary
Skills & Experience
- Experience within housing, property services, social care, or a related field supporting adult clients
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships
- Ability to manage complex or sensitive situations with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgement
- Experience with housing or property management systems is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-focused approach
- Understanding of support needs such as mental health or addiction recovery is desirable
