Office Administrator – Renewable EnergyExciting Career Opportunity with Clear Development Potential
Salary: £32,000 per year
Benefits: Company Pension | 28 Days Annual Leave
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Build Your Career in Renewable Energy
We have an exciting opportunity for an organised, motivated and ambitious individual to join our growing renewable energy company as an Office Administrator.
This is much more than a traditional administration role.
We are looking for someone who wants to become an important part of the business, take ownership of key responsibilities and develop their skills and career as the company grows.
You will work closely with the General Manager and wider team, supporting the administration behind our operations and renewable energy projects while helping us maintain the high standards of documentation, compliance and organisation required within the industry.
For the right person, there is clear potential to develop and progress within the company. Depending on your strengths and interests, this could include further development in areas such as Health & Safety, Engineering Administration, Compliance, Quality Management or Internal Auditing.
We are looking for someone who wants to learn, develop and grow with an ambitious company.
What You'll Be Doing
The role will be varied and will develop over time. Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date company records and documentation.
- Reviewing and updating company policies and procedures.
- Helping ensure the company remains organised, compliant and audit-ready.
- Maintaining staff training, qualification and competency records.
- Monitoring training requirements and booking courses and training.
- Arranging staff travel and accommodation.
- Maintaining organised company filing and document-control systems.
- Assisting with the preparation and collation of information for internal and external audits.
- Supporting the General Manager with project-related administrative duties.
- Assisting with project documentation, records, reports and general coordination.
- Communicating with employees, management, clients, training providers and other external parties.
- Identifying opportunities to improve administrative systems and processes.
- Supporting the wider business as required.
Who We're Looking For
You don't necessarily need to come from the renewable energy industry.
We're particularly interested in finding someone with the right attitude, organisation and willingness to learn.
You should be:
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Motivated, dependable and proactive.
- Comfortable taking ownership of tasks and seeing them through to completion.
- Confident working independently while also being part of a team.
- A good communicator, both verbally and in writing.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and general office systems.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Interested in learning new skills and developing your responsibilities.
Previous administrative experience would be beneficial. Experience within renewable energy, engineering, construction, Health & Safety, quality, compliance or auditing would also be an advantage, but is not essential.
Where Could the Role Take You?
We want this position to offer genuine development rather than simply remaining a routine administration role.
As your knowledge and experience grow, there may be opportunities to undertake additional training and develop towards areas such as:
Health & Safety Engineering Support Quality & Compliance Internal Auditing Project Administration
The direction can develop around both the needs of the company and the strengths and interests of the successful candidate.
