Role Overview
We are currently seeking experienced and dependable Long Distance Delivery Drivers to join our team. This role involves transporting goods over long distances, ensuring timely and safe deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out long-distance deliveries across the UK
- Ensure goods are transported safely and securely
- Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery deadlines
- Complete delivery paperwork and maintain accurate records
- Perform daily vehicle checks and report any issues
- Communicate effectively with the operations team and clients
- Provide a professional and courteous service at all times
Requirements
- Valid UK driving licence (Category B or relevant class)
- Experience in long-distance or multi-drop delivery driving preferred
- Ability to drive Luton vans (experience with tail lift/pallet truck is an advantage)
- Good knowledge of UK road networks and driving regulations
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Physically fit and capable of handling loading/unloading when required
- Flexible with working hours, including early starts and occasional overnight stays
