Job Title: Part time Sports Therapist
Job Role: To be part of a progressive, multidisciplinary private Healthcare Clinic promoting the health and well being of the general public. Your aim would be to assist in Sports Massage and Sports Therapy to include hands-on techniques and rehabilitation to help with tissue healing, occupational stressors, maintenance and athlete recovery and preparation. To be able to provide assessment, treatment and goal management services. Most importantly be able to work safely and identify when issues are out of your scope and require inter-referrals to GP or allied healthcare professionals at Watt Health Ltd.
Job Specification
- Sports Therapy Degree or equivalent
- Minimum Level 3 or above Sports Massage Qualification (open to discussion if experienced)
- Part of Sports Massage Governing Body e.g BASRAT, Sports Massage Association
- Private Insurance provider and Public Liability Insurance
- Self – Employed contract - percentages range from 40-50% of appointment revenue
- Part time hours but regular weekly shifts
- Excellent communication skills and patient-centered approach
- Confident in hands-on Sports Massage techniques; Effleurage, petrissage, trigger points, myofascial release, muscle energy techniques.
- Able to take a subjective history, basic objective examination and record keeping
- Some knowledge in Sports Injuries, anatomy and physiology and soft tissue healing times
- Able to work as part of a team and independently at our satellite clinic
- Maintain a professional and clean clinical area
- Unremarkable DBS check
- Basic First Aid training
Preferrable:
- Previously completed lone working or part of a healthcare clinic
- At least 1 year’s hands-on experience
- Confident on a laptop to provide electronic clinical notes and booking systems
- Undertaken additional Sports Massage techniques and courses:
e.g IASTM, Graston, Applied Cupping Therapy, Medical Acupuncture / Dry Needling, Sports Taping
The amount of hours and days from the below availability can be negotiable and flexible, based on personal preferences and for a job split.
Shifts will be based at Hybrid Fitness in West End Clinic with some evening hours available at our main Sarisbury Green hub.
Shifts are available for 1-2 applicants for September 2026 start date.
