Site Maintenance and Safety Officer
We are currently seeking a proactive and reliable Site Maintenance and Safety Officer to join a busy educational environment on a full-time, year-round basis. This role involves working a rotating shift pattern and participating in an out-of-hours call-out rota.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in maintenance, facilities, or site management who is passionate about creating a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across the site
- Respond to repairs and technical issues in a timely manner
- Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the premises
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and site security
- Work closely with colleagues and contractors to ensure facilities remain safe and operational
- Participate in shift patterns and out-of-hours emergency call-outs
- Respond appropriately to security and safety incidents
- Provide support across multiple sites when required
- Attend mandatory training and ongoing professional development sessions
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Previous experience within maintenance, caretaking, facilities, or site management
- Good practical skills including general repairs and maintenance
- Strong awareness of health & safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- A flexible and proactive approach to work
- Willingness to participate in shift work and emergency call-outs

Pay: £27,345.76 per year
