Hourly Rate: £14.00 – £16.00 per hour

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Nurse to join our team at HMP Littlehey. This unique role offers the opportunity to provide essential dental care within a secure environment, making a meaningful impact on the oral health of the prison population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during clinical procedures.
- Manage and process dental applications and appointment bookings.
- Maintain accurate records in logbooks and digital systems.
- Order and manage dental materials and supplies.
- Support and coordinate service visits
- Conduct initial triage of dental complaints to prioritise care.
- Escort staff and patients to and from the dental clinic as required.
- Ensure high standards of infection control and cleanliness.
- Prepare and manage dental instruments and materials.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures within the prison setting.
Requirements:
- Valid GDC (General Dental Council) registration.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Dental Nurse (preferred).
- Previous experience in a prison setting (beneficial).
- Experience with SOE/Dentally dental software (beneficial).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
