This is a great opportunity for a Chef de Partie to join a busy kitchen in Central Manchester, preparing and producing food to a high standard in line with senior chef specifications. The role would suit someone with strong kitchen experience, good organisation and a positive attitude towards teamwork, standards and service.
As Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for running your section efficiently, maintaining excellent hygiene and cleanliness standards, supporting mise en place and ensuring food is prepared, stored and presented correctly. You may also be required to manage the kitchen when you are the most senior person on shift, so confidence, reliability and good communication are important.
The role is based on a minimum of 40 hours per week across a varied rota, which may include weekends and night shifts depending on business needs. Flexibility is essential, alongside a proactive approach, strong work ethic and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a wider kitchen team.
This role does not provide accommodation, so you must be able to reliably commute or relocate to the area.

Chef de Partie Ideal Profile:

Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen

Confident preparing and producing food to a high standard

Able to run and organise a section effectively

Proactive and able to work unsupervised when required

Ability to motivate, support and train junior team members

Food Safety qualification or strong knowledge of food hygiene standards

Good understanding of health and safety and kitchen hygiene procedures

Clear communication skills with chefs, managers and other departments

Organised, methodical and reliable with strong punctuality

Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and high personal standards
Chef de Partie Responsibilities:

Prepare and produce food to the highest standard in line with senior chef specifications

Run and maintain your section, ensuring mise en place is fresh, stocked and organised

Manage the kitchen when you are the most senior person on shift

Support the Head Chef and Executive Chef with stock, stores and menu requirements
-
Check stock rotation and ensure cooked and uncooked food is stored correctly
-
Keep all kitchen areas clean, tidy and maintained to a high standard
-
Adhere strictly to food hygiene, health and safety and company procedures
-
Supervise, motivate and train Commis Chefs and junior team members during service
-
Report equipment faults or maintenance issues promptly to senior chefs
-
Work flexibly across sections where required by the Head Chef or Executive Chef

Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times

Contribute to a positive kitchen culture built on respect, teamwork and high standards
