Affinity Care Consortium Ltd is looking for a Cook to join our team. This position is responsible for preparation and cooking of food and other items for the service users, monitoring food temperatures, and assisting with cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a professional kitchen environment, be able to work efficiently and under time constraints, have great communication skills, and be able to work independently .
Job Duties:
- Prepare food for the service users
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, cleaning windows, etc.
- Keep accurate records of food preparation and inventory
- Check food quality
- Keep kitchen clean & orderly
- Stock inventory as needed
Skills:
- Understanding of health and safety regulations in a professional kitchen
- Ability to work both independently & as part of a team
- Positive attitude & willingness to learn
Preferred Skills :
- Qualifications in food and hygiene
- Experience of preparing food within a care setting
- Experience in preparing modified/textured diets
This position consists of 3 x 7 hour shifts (9.30am - 4:30pm) and working every other weekend and bank holidays.
Pay: £12.75 per hour
