An opportunity has arisen for a Nursery Cook to join our team in our Bridgend Road Day Nursery. We are looking for an individual able to work, 30 hrs. Our Bridgend Road Day Nursery is a pack-away setting located inside Llanharan Welfare Hall caring for children aged 2-12 years of age.
Hours:
Monday to Friday
9:30am–1:30pm
20 hours per week
The duties include;
- Preparing and cooking fresh, healthy, home-cooked meals from scratch using our four-week rolling menu
- Preparing and organising food for the children’s afternoon tea ready for the nursery team to serve later in the day
- Ensuring all meals are nutritious, well presented and meet company standards
- Supporting menu planning and development, including introducing new home-cooked meals and ideas
- Working alongside the nursery team to ensure mealtimes run smoothly
- Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen throughout the working day
- Following all food hygiene, allergen and food safety procedures
- Monitoring stock levels and communicating ordering requirements to management
- Completing all relevant kitchen, food safety and temperature records
- Any other duties appropriate to the role as directed by the Nursery Manager and Directors
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £13.10 per hour
