Join our Community Money Advice team and make a lasting difference to people experiencing financial hardship. This role offers the opportunity to provide practical debt support and work alongside a team committed to helping others achieve long-term financial resilience.
Could you help us to achieve our ambition of seeing people in our area free from debt, so that they can “live life to the full”?
With support from the National Lottery Community Fund and in partnership with Bournemouth Foodbank, we are expanding our financial resilience work across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole. We are looking for two dedicated people to work together to lead our debt advice work in Bournemouth.
NOTE: You do not need to be a trained Debt Adviser to apply but will need to undertake extensive professional training which will be provided.
Key aspects of the role:
- Help to recruit, oversee, coach, and mentor Bournemouth based CMA volunteers to help individuals get out and stay out of debt
- Provide professional debt advice and budgeting support to referred clients
- Develop understanding of the wider needs of the individual, signposting and referring them to other support as needed

- Professional integrity with brilliant organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to build a rapid rapport with people
