Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced individual to join our team as a <PERSON>. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely, ensuring timely arrivals, and maintaining excellent communication with clients and team members. This role is ideal for someone with a background in delivery driving, warehouse operations, or commercial driving, who is organised, physically fit, and committed to high standards of service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a <PERSON> vehicle for the delivery of goods to various locations.
- Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries.
- Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collection documentation.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding delivery times and any issues that may arise.
- Conduct routine vehicle checks to ensure safety and compliance with legal requirements.
- Assist with warehouse duties when not on the road, including stock organisation and inventory management.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations during operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles.
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to plan routes and manage time effectively.
- Physical fitness to handle manual tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo.
- A responsible attitude towards safety protocols and traffic laws.
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
