We are seeking a dedicated and experienced CQC Registered Manager to lead the launch of a brand-new domiciliary (home) care agency serving Whitefield and Prestwich, Greater Manchester. As the pivotal figure in building this service from the ground up, you will lead our CQC registration, establish our care systems and policies, and champion a compassionate, person-centred approach for clients receiving care in their own homes. This is a genuinely rare opportunity to shape a care service from day one — systems, policies, and team culture — rather than stepping into something already established.
Responsibilities
Lead the CQC registration process from application through to the ‘fit person’ interview.
Develop and finalise the Statement of Purpose, Service User Guide, and full policy library, tailored to our specific service.
Build and lead our care team as client numbers grow, including safe recruitment, DBS checks, and in-house induction.
Establish care planning, risk assessment, and quality audit systems from scratch.
Hold responsibility for safeguarding and incident reporting.
Build referral relationships with GPs, social workers, and hospital discharge teams.
Skills
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or working towards).
Substantial domiciliary/home-care experience.
Strong current knowledge of CQC standards and the registration process.
Demonstrated leadership skills, with the confidence to build and manage a team from scratch.
Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients’ families, healthcare professionals, and CQC.
RN background, previous Registered Manager experience, or prior CQC registration experience all advantageous.
This role is ideal for an experienced care leader who wants the chance to build something from scratch rather than manage someone else’s system. Flexible hours to start while we get registered and set up, growing as the client base builds — exact hours and pay to be discussed and agreed with the right candidate. Salary: competitive, dependent on experience.
To apply: please send your CV and a covering letter to [email protected], indicating your notice period and availability.
Pay: Up to £45,000.00 per year
Work Location: Remote
