We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Assistant to join Elmbridge Neighbourhood Community Mental Health team, based at the Joseph Palmer Center, Elmbridge.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking to develop their clinical and research skills under the supervision of qualified Psychologists.
In this role, you will support the assessment, formulation and delivery of evidence-based psychological interventions to individuals across a range of services. Working both independently and collaboratively within agreed care plans, you will play a key role in enhancing service users’ quality of life through person-centred, holistic care. You will engage directly with individuals, their families and carers, ensuring dignity, respect and inclusivity are upheld at all times.
The post also offers valuable experience in service development, including contributing to audits, data collection, outcome measurement and research projects.
This role is ideal for a psychology graduate with a strong interest in clinical practice, research and service improvement, who is committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care and developing a career within psychological services.
Subject to reasonable adjustments in respect of any disability, candidates must possess a valid driving licence and be able to drive and have the unrestricted use of a car or motorcycle for work at all times including community based work.
To support and enhance the professional psychological care of people who use services by providing psychological assessment and psychological interventions, under the supervision of a qualified psychologist working within the service, and by working independently according to a plan agreed with the team leader and the supervising psychologist.
To assist in clinically related administration, conduct audits, collect outcome statistics, and/or other project work as appropriate and agreed with the team leader and supervising psychologist.
To facilitate/co-facilitate the running of therapeutic groups.
