Overview - we are looking for 2 staff to join our team either on a full time or part time basis. This position is for an all year round position not school term only.
We are seeking a qualified, passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early childhood education team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on young children’s lives by providing engaging, nurturing, and educational care in a dynamic nursery environment. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital part in fostering children’s development, ensuring their safety, and creating a welcoming space where curiosity and learning flourish. This position is ideal for individuals with a genuine love for working with children and a full & relevant early childhood qualificaation.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver stimulating activities that promote children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being within the nursery setting
- Support children’s individual needs through tailored care plans and attentive communication
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe environment that adheres to health and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children’s day, progress & concerns
- Collaborate with team members to create an inclusive and supportive nursery community
- Assist in the daily management of nursery routines, including meal times, nap times, and play sessions
Qualifications
- Level 3 Early Years qualification desired as a minimum (Level 2 with experience will be considered)
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages
- Strong communication skills in English to interact confidently with children, parents, and colleagues
- A genuine passion for childcare, patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for supporting young learners
