We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Assistant to support our HR team in delivering efficient and effective personnel services. Main Purpose
The Human Resources Assistant will support recruitment, onboarding, employee records, employee relations administration, and general office functions while developing knowledge and experience within Human Resources.
The post holder will assist with the coordination of formal HR processes, including disciplinary, grievance, investigation, absence management, and welfare meetings, ensuring documentation, records, and minutes are accurate, professional, and confidential.

Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment Administration
- Coordinate recruitment activity across the organisation
- Schedule interviews and candidate assessments
- Prepare offer letters, contracts, and onboarding documentation
- Maintain recruitment trackers and applicant records
- Support pre-employment checks including:
o DBS checks
o Right to work checks
o References
o Qualification verification
2. Employee Records & HR Administration
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files
- Manage electronic and paper-based HR records
- Prepare employment letters and HR correspondence
- Update employee databases and HR trackers
- Monitor probation reviews and key employment milestones
- Support HR compliance reporting
3. Employee Relations Support
- Arrange disciplinary, grievance, investigation, capability, absence, and welfare meetings
- Prepare meeting invitations and supporting documentation
- Attend formal meetings and take accurate, professional minutes
- Produce meeting notes and outcome documentation as required
- Maintain confidential employee relations records
- Support managers with administrative aspects of HR processes
4. Service Support Administration
- Support residential and domiciliary services with administrative requests
- Assist managers with documentation and employee records
- Maintain organisational databases and filing systems
- Support Head Office projects and information gathering
5. Reception & Office Administration
- Answer telephone calls professionally
- Welcome visitors and contractors
- Manage incoming and outgoing post
- Coordinate meeting rooms and refreshments
- Maintain stationery and office supplies
- Provide general administrative support to Head Office departments
6. Data Management & Reporting
- Produce reports, spreadsheets, and administrative data
- Maintain HR trackers and compliance records
- Ensure records are stored securely and in accordance with GDPR
- Support management reporting requirements
