We are seeking a skilled and versatile <PERSON> and General Builder to join our construction team. This role involves a wide range of building, renovation, and maintenance tasks across various projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction trades, demonstrate excellent craftsmanship, and be capable of working independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities
- Undertake fabrication and assembly tasks using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment.
- Perform carpentry, joinery, roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, and construction painting as required.
- Carry out heavy lifting and manual handling safely to support various building activities.
- Assist with site preparation, including site clearance, groundwork, and organisation of materials.
- Install structures and fixtures according to specifications and technical drawings.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on existing structures or installations.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors to complete projects efficiently and to high quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction or building trades such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing or electrical work.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment relevant to construction tasks.
- Knowledge of fabrication, assembly processes, roofing techniques, and joinery methods.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights when necessary (e.g., roofing).
- Experience with construction painting, plastering, or finishing works is desirable.
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings or plans is advantageous.
- Physical fitness to undertake demanding tasks over extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction trades are preferred but not essential.
