Smart Teachers is working in partnership with a high-performing secondary school to recruit a Data Officer (Performance & Admissions) on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced school data professional with strong SIMS knowledge to join a busy and supportive administrative team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the school's performance and assessment data, supporting admissions processes, and providing accurate reporting to senior leaders to help drive student outcomes.
The Role
As the Data Officer, you will:
- Manage and maintain the school's performance, assessment and admissions data
- Produce accurate attainment, progress and assessment reports for senior leaders and teaching staff
- Create and maintain mark sheets within SIMS and prepare systems for data collection points
- Support the analysis of internal and external examination data
- Assist with pupil admissions, data transfers and maintaining accurate student records
- Provide support with school communication systems and other associated administrative functions
- Ensure all work is completed accurately and within strict deadlines
The Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant will have:
- Significant experience working in a similar school data or administration role
- Essential experience using SIMS, particularly Assessment Manager
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the use of formulas
- Excellent ICT, organisational and administrative skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to analyse data accurately
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
