Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Dispensing Optician/Optical Advisor to join our professional team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting suitable eyewear, providing expert advice on optical products, and ensuring excellent customer service. Duties
- Dispense spectacles and contact lenses accurately according to prescriptions and customer needs
- Provide professional advice on frame selection, lens options, and optical care tailored to individual requirements
- Assist customers with fitting and adjustments of eyewear for comfort and optimal vision
- Maintain detailed records of customer prescriptions, orders, and appointments
- Manage laboratory tasks such as lens edging and fitting when applicable, utilising laboratory experience
- Educate customers on proper eyewear maintenance and optical health practices
- Ensure the optical retail area is organised, clean, and welcoming at all times
Experience
- Experience in a customer service environment within the optical industry is advantageous
- Familiarity with optical equipment and prescription interpretation is preferred
- A proactive attitude towards learning new techniques and staying updated with industry developments

Pay: £27,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
