at our brand new family friendly INDEPENDENT VET CLINIC -the only independent clinic in this area.
LOWER EARLEY VETS (READING)-due to open in November 2026.
In this dynamic role, you will be the friendly face and organised voice of our practice, ensuring smooth daily operations and exceptional client experiences. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for pet owners and their beloved animals. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a passionate team dedicated to animal health and well-being.
Hours/ Shift Pattern: negotiable FULL OR PART TIME

About the Role:
- Manage Communication: Handle incoming calls and schedule appointments efficiently
- Inquiries Resolution: Respond to queries via phone, email, and in-person interactions with professionalism
- Client Reception: Greet and register new clients, ensuring a warm welcome
- Financial Transactions: Process payments accurately and efficiently
- Emotional Support: Provide empathy and understanding to clients during distressing times, while maintaining professionalism
- Client Care: Above all, ensure that every client feels welcomed and valued at our practice
- Assist with laboratory tasks such as sample collection, processing
Who We're Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Receptionist and experience in a veterinary setting with animals is a bonus ! or simply an animal lover !
- Strong communication skills paired with genuine empathy
- Outstanding customer service skills and experience with the public
- Positive attitude and superior teamwork abilities
- Proficiency in basic computer skills
